The new website has been LIVE for a couple of days.
Some of you have been adding a few of the new goodies to your order. Like the best Chess Pie you will ever have …melting in your mouth. It took months and months to get this one just right. Chess Pie has quite a following in the South. So, I had to get this one better than right!
Chess Pie is very unique with the addition of vinegar and cornmeal. I know, I know…that sounds odd to you Northerners. It is a great southern gift for those who love traditional chess pie, but don’t want to make it themselves. But the vinegar gives it a slight tang and the cornmeal gently floats to the top when it bakes, creating a slight buttery crunch. Combined with the vanilla, eggs, butter and sugar…well let me just say… it is a very dangerous pie.
I also developed a special baking technique that creates a crust that caramelizes in the butter. Do not even think about checking out the nutritional info on the box. In the pie’s defense…a little goes a long way… so if a regular 10″ pie serves 8…you could squeeze out 10-12 servings of this pie and everyone would be joyous. Fa la la la la!
Don’t try to recreate this yourself! Just order it now and we will ship it to you so all your work is done! We won’t even tell if you take credit for it!
